Jimmy Durchslag
Jimmy Durchslag has an extensive background in fundraising, management and finance. He started and directed a community clinic, was the president of a national catalog and record company and has operated his own record label. He has been involved in numerous successful community organizations, including writing the original application for the local community radio station. Jimmy moved from his position of National Media Coordinator at the Mainstream Media Project (since 2001) to head the interview booking service in April, 2006 and became the MMP Executive Director in April 2009. He is also a very active musician, playing trombone with several groups in diverse musical genres.
Kara Hochner

Kara Hochner coordinates experts to speak on various issues that are part of media alerts released through the Mainstream Media Project. Previously, Kara was the Promotions Director for Lost Coast Communications, owner of 3 radio stations, as well as the Associate Producer for the radio program, A World of Possibilities. She has degrees in Journalism and Economics from Humboldt State University. In her spare time Kara loves to garden and cook fancy meals.
Halimah Collingwood

Halimah Collingwood schedules interviews on public, community and commercial stations nationwide including AZ, CA, MO, MT, NY, OR and VA. As a media trainer, she educates spokespeople on how to be a good talk show guest. She has extensive experience in radio as a producer, programmer, interviewer and engineer, and for the past eighteen years has been host of a weekly World Music program entitled "Ethnic Excursions" on public radio station KHSU-FM in Arcata, California. She was the Program Director for the Humboldt Arts Council, organizing exhibitions and concerts throughout the community. Halimah pursued a musical career, singing with several bands including Blackburn & Snow and Dan Hicks and the Hot Licks. From 1971, Halimah lived in England for five years, working in early childhood education and in Scotland for 7 years, raising her family and becoming an avid gardener. She is a founding member and the coordinator of the Arcata Interfaith Gospel Choir. Besides people, Halimah loves music, theatre, dance and traveling. She completed her degree in Philosophy in 1990 from Humboldt State University.
Ralph Davila
Ralph Davila schedules interviews for guest experts on internet radio shows, syndicated talk shows and national radio programs that are on commercial and public stations. Enthusiasm and passion for media is what brought Ralph to the Mainstream Media Project where he can as Joseph Pulitzer said “comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable”. Ralph’s media career began as the Business Manger for a Country/Rock band. He later moved on to build his own business of marketing, sales and distribution of magazines to all major retailers in the
Naihma Deady

Naihma schedules interviews with local and regional hosts on Spanish language media throughout the United States. Born and raised in Cholula, Puebla in Mexico and moved to Arcata, California in 2000. From a social activist family background, she understands and is aware of the terrible gaps concerning social justice, education and poverty. Naihma holds a double BS in Marine Biology and Zoology from Humboldt State University. She now lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband and two kids.

Jennifer Hanan schedules interviews on local and regional radio stations within 17 states. Prior to joining MMP, Jennifer traveled abroad and studied cultural solutions to pressing social, economic and environmental challenges. She landed in
Shirley Santino

Shirley Santino schedules interviews on radio stations in 17 states scattered between WA and FL. Prior to joining MMP in 2001, she worked in magazine publishing and video production in New York, television in Eureka, California, and lived for three years in a remote part of Italy. She is a staunch advocate for public schools and student foreign exchange programs, has served for years on Site Councils, PTSA, Strategic planning teams and Advisory Committees. She volunteers in her community as an editor, caterer, gardener. She also acts in local theaters. Shirley has a B.A. from the University of Michigan.
Ananda Hazzard
Ananda is the owner of Clear & Concise Bookkeeping, a three person business which she established in January 2001. She joined MMP in May, 2008, using her more than 30 years of bookkeeping experiences in both non profit and for profit businesses to support the financial needs of our grantors as well as internal financial services. She has and continues to serve on various non-profit boards.
