William Spriggs is Professor and Chair of the Department of Economics at Howard University. He is a former senior research fellow at the Economic Policy Institute and he was the former Executive Director of the National Urban League Institute for Opportunity and Equality. Professor Spriggs has also held roles in the Small Business Administration, the U.S. Department of Commerce, the Joint Economic Committee of the U.S. Congress, and the National Commission for Employment Policy in the Clinton Administration.
